A purpose-driven social ecosystem designed to unite animal lovers, rescue shelters, and pet-related businesses. Dona facilitates safer adoptions through intelligent matching, while fostering a media-rich community where users can exchange messages, photos, and videos in a secure mobile environment.
The challenge
The challenge was architecting a system that could handle real-time social interactions and heavy multimedia processing while maintaining high speed. We also needed to develop an intelligent way to connect users with the most relevant shelters based on their location and personal preferences.
Our solution
We engineered a hybrid backend using Django for stability and FastAPI for high-performance media processing. React Native was utilized for a fluid, cross-platform mobile experience. We implemented custom AI algorithms to handle geospatial matching, ensuring that users and shelters are connected with maximum precision.
